Shepperton Marina Link

Bringing everyone at Shepperton Marina together via the internet

Message from Rob Marsh, Managing Director of Shepperton Marina

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to log on to SheppertonLink.com which we feel is a very exciting form of communication between ourselves and you, our customers.  In addition to news about Shepperton Marina, this website provides you with many interesting links to other websites which we hope you will find very useful and enjoyable.

As you are probably aware, Shepperton Marina has been stealing some headlines in the local press with regard to the approval of our planning application to extend the marina by 205 berths and also to build a bespoke service centre and separate clubhouse/restaurant.  This application has taken almost three years to gain approval and we are delighted with the result as it gives us the building blocks to turn Shepperton Marina into one of the largest facilities on the Thames.  Please view the progress of this exciting development on this website.

As always, we endeavour to be at the forefront of the business that we are involved in – being the supply of moorings, services and customer care – and I would like to take this opportunity to thank the great team that Shepperton Marina has in place under the stewardship of Steve Gray, the Operations Manager, of which SheppertonLink.com is his brainchild.

Shepperton will continue to evolve and hopefully continue to improve.  As you already know, we have invested a considerable amount of time and money to the pontoon replacement programme in Basin B, where we have also created a better seating area with barbecue facilities for everyone to enjoy throughout the summer.  The plan for the future is to continue our pontoon replacement programme, the timings of which will be announced via SheppertonLink.com as soon as they have been approved.

Our ambition as a team is to supply customer services beyond any other marina on the river and to be known as the best.  This is a high standard to set ourselves but – with the team we have in place in Shepperton Marina, including the estate management staff who work extremely hard at keeping the marina services fully functional as well as making the grounds looking immaculate – this is a standard I am positive we can achieve.

What is essential to us realising this dream, however, is your help and feedback.  Can I urge you, therefore, to visit SheppertonLink.com regularly to keep up-to-date with all the latest news and information about Shepperton Marina and, more importantly, please let us have any feedback – about the website as well as the marina itself.  But what I am really looking forward to is reading contributions on the website from you – be it practical advice to your fellow moorers or anecdotes about your boating experiences – and anything in between!

I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you all for mooring here at Shepperton Marina and wish you a very happy boating season.  I look forward to seeing you at the Moorers’ Summer Party, details of which will be announced here on SheppertonLink.com in the very near future.

Yours sincerely

Rob Marsh
